This Thanksgiving One Tree Hill stars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols are giving their thanks to the men and women serving overseas. On Nov. 23 and 24, 2009 Bush and Nichols stopped by the Incirlik and Izmir Air Bases in Turkey to show their appreciation to the Airmen of the 39th Security Forces Squadron for their military service.

The prime time television stars are on a celebrity handshake tour sponsored by the USO.

Prior to arriving in Turkey, they held meet and greets with the service members and their families stationed in Ramstein, Germany.

On Monday Nov. 23, Bush and Nichols visited various locations of the Incirlik Air Base, including the law enforcement desk where they met with the airmen.

The two greeted the military members, as well as took the time to sign autographs and pose for pictures.

As the USO says, these tours leave great lasting impressions on the service members.

“It was great to see their interest and emotions about what we do and how we do it. Thank you guys!!”, said A1C Matishek, who met the young actors at the Incirlik Air Base.

Clearly Bush and Nichols left that lasting impression.
