Where is everyone going? That was the question that was on the minds of ‘One Tree Hill‘ viewers Monday night as the majority of Tree Hill’s residents decided to say so long for now.

By the end of the hour Nathan, Haley, Jamie, Julian, Mouth, Skills, Clay, and even trouble-maker Alex,(Did I leave anyone out?) all looked like they were making their departures from Tree Hill very soon.

Nichols plays a film producer on ‘One Tree Hill’(CW TV Photo)

2009 has been quite a year for Austin Nichols. He became a series regular on the popular long-time drama ‘One Tree Hill’, began work on a new film, and even developed some additional career aspirations for himself outside of the entertainment industry. He discussed that and much more with me including what he would like to see happen with his role of Julian on ‘One Tree Hill’.

Q-How has filming been for you lately?

A-Fun, it’s been busy. I’m shooting a movie as well right now so I’ve been in between LA and Wilmington a lot. The movie is called ‘Beautiful Boy’, it’s with Michael Sheen. It’s just an incredible piece of writing about a husband and wife who find out their son was involved in a campus shooting. I play a writer who writes about the tragedy. I’m really happy about it.

What made you want to be a part of this movie about a romance between an older woman and a younger man

I read the book “Flirting With Forty” before I actually did the movie, and as a 26-year-old guy, I loved it. I’m such a cheese ball! But it’s such a nice story.

What is the story about?

It is a beautiful love story. Kyle and Jackie have to make certain sacrifices and compromises to make the situation work. But they do it. As a hopeless romantic, I loved that.

Why do you think your character, Kyle, falls in love with Jackie, who is a bit older than him and a mom too?

One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols are spending their Thanksgiving holiday this year fulfilling exactly what the holiday is about; giving thanks to others. The young stars, along with Heroes’s Milo Ventimiglia, are currently overseas generously giving their time and talent to the troops and their families stationed in Germany and Turkey.

This Thanksgiving One Tree Hill stars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols are giving their thanks to the men and women serving overseas. On Nov. 23 and 24, 2009 Bush and Nichols stopped by the Incirlik and Izmir Air Bases in Turkey to show their appreciation to the Airmen of the 39^th Security Forces Squadron for their military service.

The prime time television stars are on a celebrity handshake tour sponsored by the USO.

Actor James Lafferty had just finished high school when he landed the role of Nathan Scott on ‘One Tree Hill’. The Hemet, Calif. native has literally grown up on the show that launched his career. Yet as Lafferty recently discussed with me during our interview, the life he has been living on-screen through his character is one that has led him to grow up on a whole new level as he has learned about life in more ways than he ever imagined he would at 24. And this he says is something he has truly enjoyed about his role as a husband, father, and basketball star.

Thanks to Kayla for the heads up.  James Lafferty and Robert Buckley have apparently been playing double-duty with filming, each taking party in western The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy.  The film, written and directed by Tanner Beard, is a western also starring Summer Glau (Dollhouse, Terminator) and Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Melrose Place, Step Up), Eric Balfour (24) and Henry Thomas (Dear John – that movie looks so good!).    James is playing the role of Eigson Howard and Rob is playing the character of Bacas Mitchell.  Following is a summary of the film:

“The story of how ‘Hell’s Gate’ at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas came to have it’s name. Relive the story of how three outlaws expeditions and encounters through historical 1870s Texas were remembered for a lifetime.”

The movie filmed in Texas beginning October 18 and wrapped filming Friday according to its official Twitter.  The film will be released in 2010.  If anyone has any filming pictures including James or Rob, please let us know!
