  • Caylee’s death linked to One Tree Hill
Post Categories: bethany news • By Tonya • 26 December, 2008

Channel 9 has learned that investigators are looking at whether a popular TV show may have provided Casey Anthony with the inspiration she needed to create a story about Caylee’s disappearance.

Computer records given to Eyewitness News showed Casey did a Google search for “One Tree Hill’s” 100th episode, right before Caylee disappeared.

That episode just happens to be about a nanny kidnapping a child.

Legal analyst Bill Sheaffer believes this could be a critical piece of evidence the state will use in this case against Casey.

“The story of the plot line is so similar and that is the story she originally came out (with). And it’s the story she continues and continues to stick with,” said Sheaffer.

In March, three months before Caylee disappeared, Casey’s computer records show she was researching how to make chloroform, household weapons, and neck breaking.

In between those searches Casey was looking up the 100th episode of “One Tree Hill.”

“It goes to serve two issues: one premeditation for the death of the child and two, it serves as a basis for this incredible story that the imaginary babysitter kidnapped and killed the child,” said Sheaffer.

Casey told investigators the nanny, Zenaida Gonzales, kidnapped Caylee. Detectives said they will definitely look into the information and this will most likely help in the case against Casey.

  • Best TV Ensembles
Post Categories: show news • By Tonya • 22 December, 2008

“Some shows are so loaded with talent, it’s hard to choose a favorite star; we count down our 10 favorite.

Could you imagine Cheers without Norm? Seinfeld without Newman? Twin Peaks without that dancing midget? These shows of the past were rare in that their casts were practically perfect, top to bottom. Now, strong ensembles are all over the place.

When searching for our favorite 10 ensemble casts, we were awestruck at how many we nominated and had a very tough time trimming the list. Are these the absolute best? No, but they’re our personal favorites. Your comments have been great so far in our other lists, and we want to hear what you sleuths think we missed. Let’s get on with it!

10. One Tree Hill
Led by Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty, One Tree Hill boasts one of the best young casts on television. Plus, we’ve watched them grow up before our eyes and they haven’t missed a step.”

  • EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS CONCERNING SEASON 7
Post Categories: show news • By Owner • 19 December, 2008

Inside sources confirm: One Tree Hill boss Mark Schwahn is in talks to write the pilot for the CW’s new Melrose Place. According to one well-placed CW insider, Schwahn is “the biggest name” and “top candidate” available for the remake of the ’90s spinoff to Beverly Hills, 90210.

“The deal is not done yet,” another reliable network source tells me. “But it looks like it’s going to happen. I would be surprised if it didn’t go through.”

So what does this mean for the future of One Tree Hill? All good things!

According to insiders, CW president Dawn Ostroff and her team have been so pleased with the creative direction of One Tree Hill, they are planning to pick up the series for at least another season or two. (Say it with me, fans: Holler!)
