Longtime “One Tree Hill” watchers shouldn’t be surprised when a plotline pulls a major, dramatic, out-of-left-field twist. After all, it seems to happen every other week. But even longtime watchers like myself were shocked at the ending to last week’s episode (SPOILER ALERT!) when actress/model/aspiring screenwriter Alex Dupre slit her wrists in her hotel room bathtub. The image of Alex’s red blood swirling in the bath water was a haunting note to end the episode on — so we caught up with Jana Kramer, who plays Alex, for the details on her characters tragic actions.

When it comes to acting, actor Joe Manganiello is sort of like a jack of all trades in the field. His resume reads like a casting director’s dream in that he has had a diverse range of experiences playing roles of all genres and depths. Manganiello, who studied at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, spoke with me recently about his various experiences, what you will see him in next, and what he would be doing in another life.
For the past few years there has not been another actress that has gained more notoriety and clout than Sophia Bush. Her recent roles in the movies include The Hitcher, John Tucker Must Die, and The Narrows. Her career is getting so successful that in a 2009 issue of Forbes magazine she was listed in the top ‘Most Bankable’ starts due to the amount of money that she makes per film. Her booming success has gained her a following of younger women who all want to dress like her.

Don’t take it as a cue, boys, but celeb hottie Sophia Bush says she’s a “big fan of anything that’s been in a deep fryer” – Namely, her calamari.
In an interview with OK! magazine, the 27-year-old One Tree Hill star said the last thing she ate was “fried calamari” confessing her weakness for anything deep-fried.
She also claimed what she’d demand if on her death bed: “I’d like a sampler platter of everything I love: a little steak, some fries, some sweet potatoes. I’d also like sushi and perhaps some flourless chocolate cake.”
Where is everyone going? That was the question that was on the minds of ‘One Tree Hill‘ viewers Monday night as the majority of Tree Hill’s residents decided to say so long for now.
By the end of the hour Nathan, Haley, Jamie, Julian, Mouth, Skills, Clay, and even trouble-maker Alex,(Did I leave anyone out?) all looked like they were making their departures from Tree Hill very soon.

2009 has been quite a year for Austin Nichols. He became a series regular on the popular long-time drama ‘One Tree Hill’, began work on a new film, and even developed some additional career aspirations for himself outside of the entertainment industry. He discussed that and much more with me including what he would like to see happen with his role of Julian on ‘One Tree Hill’.
Q-How has filming been for you lately?
A-Fun, it’s been busy. I’m shooting a movie as well right now so I’ve been in between LA and Wilmington a lot. The movie is called ‘Beautiful Boy’, it’s with Michael Sheen. It’s just an incredible piece of writing about a husband and wife who find out their son was involved in a campus shooting. I play a writer who writes about the tragedy. I’m really happy about it.

What made you want to be a part of this movie about a romance between an older woman and a younger man
I read the book “Flirting With Forty” before I actually did the movie, and as a 26-year-old guy, I loved it. I’m such a cheese ball! But it’s such a nice story.
What is the story about?
It is a beautiful love story. Kyle and Jackie have to make certain sacrifices and compromises to make the situation work. But they do it. As a hopeless romantic, I loved that.
Why do you think your character, Kyle, falls in love with Jackie, who is a bit older than him and a mom too?
